Easy Garlic bread

Love Garlic bread?  Want something to try with your pastas? this is for you! it's easy, cheap and all of my family and friends  love it!

I once apologized to a food snob for making this the easy way and he could not stop raving how tasty it was! I have been unapologetic since!  This is my mother in law's way for making garlic bread.

Ingredients:

Loaf of sourdough bread from your local grocery store
butter softened
Parmesan cheese
oregano
basil
garlic powder
pepper flakes

You buy a loaf of sourdough bread  from your local grocery store's bakery..  if you wait til it's a day old even better!

cut slices about 1-2" thick.

Spread them with butter, add garlic powder, basil, oregano, Parmesan cheese and top them with pepper flakes.  Place them in oven at 425 degrees for about 20 minutes  or until golden...  you can also do a quick broil so they toast more on top.
Enjoy with pasta dishes or soups!

I had some the other day with a recipe for a future post "3 takes on lasagna" each of us will be making lasagna our own way, so watch out for that!
And here there's some with tomorrow's post, potato soup with bacon :)
Enjoy! <3
